The very best that art has to offer, an intense and generous humanity

Biography

Jean-Pierre Loubet discovered sculpture late in life and by chance. He first worked with stone but quickly moved towards clay, which he enjoyed being in contact with. His talent was immediately recognised and took him from local exhibitions to more high-profile events, particularly in Lyon and Germany. Guest of honour at many events, he nevertheless created without worrying about pleasing. His pieces, with their light or serious discourse, are always inspired by his deeply benevolent and compassionate view of the world.

With their precise expressions and meticulous staging, Jean-Pierre Loubet's sculptures strike with the brilliance of the best that art can offer, an intense and generous humanity.

Jean-Pierre Loubet was born near Béziers in 1944, and now lives in Auvergne. He is represented by the Quatrième gallery.
