Jean-Pierre Poisson

France Born in: 1947
Franco-Swiss painter, after having followed a basic training at the School of Decorative Arts in Nice, he traveled for many years, from the Orient to Northern Europe, from Africa to the Americas. He immersed himself in local cultures and attended various painters' studios. JP Poisson works with a Chinese painter who trains him in Chinese painting and calligraphy. He improvises on the canvas as he liked to do on the piano, with complete freedom, in the emotion of the moment using Chinese brushes for calligraphy which give him a very personal plastic language, contrast of transparencies and material, with a wide pictorial palette. In 2003, he produced an exclusive exhibition on the occasion of the "Mediterranean Forum" international conference, organized by José Maria Aznar, Spanish Prime Minister, in which many European Heads of Government participated. His works are exhibited regularly in France and abroad (New York, Shanghai, Toronto, London, Monaco, Florence).
