Biography

Mary-Christine Jaladon was born in the Paris region in 1956. She lives and works in Paris. After University studies, she worked in the press for a while.

Due to her journeys around the world, she developed an artistic character, and was eager to discover. She gave up bread and butter work in 1989 and has been devoting herself since 25 years to painting and exhibiting regularly.

As for large formats, her favorite material is paper, which is subject to water before painting as it hollows it out and swells up. Marie-Christine Jaladon preserves its whiteness, and draws unusual floating shapes in the space like weightlessness. For small formats, she recently started using Plexiglas, which accentuates the aerial aspect in her work.
