Pascale Henrion-Chaffoteaux lives and works in the Ardennes. His particularly rich work combines different currents of contemporary painting from Fautrier, Dubuffet or Tapies with the free figuration of Combas to De Rosa. Pascale's work borrows from expressionism this subjectivation which transcends visible reality to arouse in the viewer an intense emotional reaction. She also borrows from symbolism forms, signs and iconography capable of evoking a higher reality to be deciphered. With its references to the great expressionist masters Soutine, Dix, but also to contemporaries Théo Tobiasse or Raya Sorkine, Pascale's paintings vibrate with an intensity that questions each of us on the founding and universal myths.
