Mélodie Montes-Villaverde is an artist from South Finistere. She's self-taught and didn't do any training or a course in art, but has been painting since she was fifteen. Mélodie Montes-Villaverde shares her pictorial expression, which allows to interpret whatever one wants. She uses acrylic to give more plasticity, density and substance to her work.
Red, gray and black are her favorite colors, a childhood symbol for fragility and violence for Melodie. She treats many themes like fear, moonlight, death angle, shattered life, scars and wounds.
For the artist:
"Painting is more than a creation, it is a way to share, this is the reason why I like my paintings to be displayed, admired, criticized, and trouble, therefore making them unique and life-like".
