B2Fays (Béatrice de Fays)

Beatrice de Fays, or B2Fays, is a French painter.

B2Fays' interactive paintings and installations are like a digital palimpsest, like the drawing of a memory on the surface of a canvas. The artist creates her installations using several techniques, her goal is to bring the observer inside her paintings.

B2Fays is a self-taught artist, who started working in 1984, but it was until 1987 that she decided to dedicate solely to painting. The artist constructs a memorandum of all her pieces since the beginning but in 1994 all of her work was destroyed by a fired. It was then that she decided to use new technology in order to allow the observers to understand her creative process.

In 2006, She won the Villa Medicis "Outside the Walls" award, since then she lives and works between France and India.
