Biography
Sean Scully was born in Dublin in 1945. He has been an American citizen since 1983.
Retrospectives of Sean Scully's work have been organised by the world's leading museums: Jeu de Paume Paris 1996, Albertina Museum, Vienna 1999, Kunstsammlung Nordrhein Westfalen, Düsseldorf, 2001, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, 2006, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, 2006, Musée d'Art Moderne de Saint-Etienne, 2007, Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2012.
