Saúl Rodríguez Montante Méndez

I was born in Mexico City on April 11, 1983. I am a visual artist and museographer, I studied visual arts at the Instituto Allende, A. C., integrated into the University of Guanajuato in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato; later I got a degree in museography from the San Carlos Academy of UNAM and another in art therapy, also from UNAM. I specialized in oil painting, acrylic and watercolour; I master several artistic techniques such as: engraving, screen printing and sculpture, among others. I collaborated as an illustrator by invitation to Interpretatio.

As a museographer, I participated in the assembly of more than 18 exhibitions in museums: University Museum of Contemporary Art; Tlatelolco Museum, Stavenhagen Collection; San Carlos Cultural Center; Living Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions of Tlaxcala; Object Object Museum; Palace of Autonomy, UNAM; Chopo Museum, UNAM; Blaisten Collection, Cultural Center of Tlatelolco, UNAM.

I worked for a year and a half in the Blaisten Collection; later I went to the Museum del Chopo, where I was able to be assistant museographer, and I began to move between collections and other museums of contemporary art, on the recommendation of the Museo del Chopo I am went to the Palacio de la Autonomía where I did and executed the site museum project.

Later I worked at the Tlaxcala Trust Museum, where I did three more exhibitions and returned to Mexico City to work on exhibitions at various museums such as the MUAC in Ciudad Universitaria, the Museo delObject in La Condesa and collections like that of Boris Hirmas. Said, I worked on curating the non-film IMCINE collection (photo archives).
