Biography

My name is Natalia Stiris Frang, 34 years young, happily married and have a five year old son. I am half Spanish and half Norwegian. When I was nine, my parents decided to move to Oslo from Madrid. I did not speak a word of Norwegian and drawing became a good way to communicate. My diary never had words, but drawings. I studied both Fine Arts and Curation at Central St. Martins in London. I continued to do a Masters degree in Innovation and have more than 10 years of experience working as a consultant in digital User Experience and Service Design with some of Norway's largest companies. Then I got sick (I am well now). Too many years far from what felt natural and intuitive had taken its toll. Visual expression has been a significant part of how I express myself since I was a toddler, but I had come further and further away from it. I recently took some time to reevaluate what I would like to do next. And so, I made the only sound decision, I put my health first. I quit my job and started working as a fulltime artist instead. Painting feels effortless, giving and challenging. I hope my visual language resonates with the public. I am excited to have made this shift and look forward to continuing to practice and tune my craft.
