Biography
Raya Safir was born in the USSR in 1912. She arrived in France in 1931 with her brother Alexandre Hinkis (painter, founder of “metaclassicism”).
She studied at the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse from 1941 to 1945 in the studio of master Raymond Espinasse. She exhibits regularly in France and abroad, notably at the Medici gallery, the Capucins gallery, the Issy-les-Moulineaux museum, etc. She is also a member of the Salon d'Automne, the Nationale des Beaux-Arts, the Salon des Indépendants.
She died in Paris in 2004.
His works are now kept in several museums in France and abroad.
