Ludmila Varlamova's artworks are presented in private collections both in Russia and abroad. Ludmila Varlamova does art, graphics, creates collages, sketches for painting applied arts objects. She prefers working with oil, gouache, acryl, but she is especially fond of watercolors and pastel. She experiments bravely with various techniques and trends; at the moment she is engaged in creating  monotypies (monotypy is a  type of printmaking; the technique of creating a unique print  consists of  drawing or painting images on a smooth surface which are then transferred to a sheet of paper).

She likes using mixed techniques combining different materials, shapes, textures, methods, thus producing extraordinary, exquisite and stylish things. Ludmila works in various genres including landscape, still life, portrait, composition, which can also be abstract. Another peculiarity of her creative activity is the variety of topics which frequently grow into whole series of artworks. Just a few of them include carnival, music, dance, theater, unusual life situations; a special place is given to women's images.

The artist does not concentrate on some particular area, she is always on the move and exists in several parallel imaginary realities, that's why she changes her themes, palettes, methods and techniques so often. Ludmila pays a lot of attention to plein-air painting.

The images of her landscapes are constantly refreshed following the impressions from various trips across the country and abroad. In her artworks you can find the Volga landscapes, the sights of Prague, Italy, Lithuania, France and USA. The artist's work is filled with subtle nuances and bright tints of an extremely cheerful palette.
