Biography
Miro Svolik was born in 1960 in Zlaté Moravce, Slovakia.
He studied photography at the Institute for Applied Arts in Bratislava between 1975 and 1979, and then at the FAMU in Prague, between 1980 and 1986.
Miro Svolik took part in several collective and solo exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad.
He has been working as a freelance photographer since 1988 and he has also been curating exhibitions in various Czech museums.
In 2009, he was appointed Director of the Creative Photography Studio at the Arts and Design Academy in Bratislava.
