Biography

Ilse Black’s drawings are based on structures or systems which are allowed to break down through process. By doing this the work explores the possibilities of entropy, and the falling away of idealised forms.

Ilse Black obtained a BA (Hons) Fine Art Part-Time, Arts University College Bournemouth, Bournemouth (2005-2010) and studied at the Foundation Art and Design Hastings College, Hastings (1999-2001) and at the Michaelis Art School, University of Cape Town, South Africa (1988-1989).
