Ramon Cornadó

Born in Tarragona, I have had learning benchmarks in David Balsells, Daniel Canogar, Cristina García Rodero, Philipp Scholz, the Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya and IDEP (Barcelona). The personal work, both in the edition of photobooks and in the expository field, is currently moving in two well-differentiated areas: observing and interpreting the reality that surrounds us (peripheral spaces of urban centers, spaces of consumption and advertising claims) and, on the other hand, in the expression of visual poetry (through the very simple elements of nature, metaphorical images, or other elements such as smoke).

I have also worked the portrait in an introspective way and have created spaces that invite silence. Over the years, I have refined my sensitivity towards existential minimalism (minimum information, minimum noise, minimal communication, through hollow spaces full of silence where one can reveal what is essential).

I have been in charge of the Photographic Services of the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona, co-director with the writer Magi Sunyer, of the photography and poetry collection "La imagen que habla" of the Arola Editors publishing house, as well as publications around of the patrimony for the Diputación de Tarragona. National prize of photography Lux d'Or in 1993, in the section of portrait. I have personal work in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art of Tarragona, the Archaeological Museum of Tarragona and the Archive of the Diputació de Tarragona
