Will Yu

Born in 1977, Will Yu is a Taiwanese artist whose works are exhibited in museums and private collections around the world. Through his portraits he explores male and female principles, referring to the foundations of K. Jung’s psychology. Will Yu has created an intricate series of works titled Paradise Beyond the Horizontal Line, using feminine and masculine and water as the main components of his painting. The artist has put into his work the meaning of the famous Chinese proverb: «Water carries a stone», reflecting the strength and flexibility of the elements, and combining it with human nature, always resilient and relentless. Using the contrast of various cold shades and the author’s stroke application technique, he creates emotional and dynamic images.
