Biography

Elmo Hood is a contemporary British artist born in 1989 in Southampton. A self-taught artist, he gained recognition in 2013 with a work created using two playing cards, which quickly gained popularity and was shared by celebrities like Sean Combs, The Game, Keyshia Cole, and Example.

His work is primarily focused on collage and pop art, incorporating elements of popular culture and street symbols. He uses playing cards to express human emotions, cutting, burning, or combining them with painting techniques to create unique compositions.

Over the years, Elmo Hood has exhibited his work in galleries in London, Paris, New York, Miami, Ibiza, Bahrain, and Munich. He has also had the honor of having his work auctioned at the British Parliament.

Currently, Elmo Hood resides and works in Brisbane, Australia.
