Biography
Anne-Marie Buttin was born in England in 1965. She studied at the Loughborough College of Art. At first, she decided to be a painter and a teacher in a school of art. She put her professional career in stand by for six years, during those years she gave birth and raised her children. She then dedicated solely to painting.
Anne-Marie Buttin admires women painters such as Winifred Nicholson and Gwen John and follows the same style as them.
The artist gets inspired by the things that sorrounds her to create her paintings, such as flowers and landscapes or simply ordinary objects. The colors, shades and the different tonalities of her canvases transmit to the observer a feeling of plenitude, calmness and serenity.
