Biography
Charlotte Proudlove's artwork has appeared on many UK television programmes and recently featured in Hollywood blockbuster Wonder Woman. It is also regularly used in backdrops at London Fashion Week catwalk displays, throughout many UK hotels, bars and restaurants and in the homes of her growing base of collectors.
Her work references the Victorian sentiment of displaying beautiful objects underneath glass, but uses a contemporary twist to dramatic effect. Her stunning artworks range from a single butterfly to striking, large elaborate displays that captivate all who view them.
It is important to note that all of the butterflies Charlotte uses in her work are ethically soured and none are endangered or protected species. They are from conservation projects which encourage an active interest in preserving insect species and protecting dwindling forest areas – something Charlotte is particularly passionate about.
