Amy Heath's body of work bring several aspects of her life with oil paint onto wooden panels. She graduated with a BFA from the The University of Kansas in 1999, but her education never stopped there. After graduation, she migrated to Washington DC where she fell into the art post-punk scene of the early 2000s where music, art, and performance crossed over many lines. She made her way to New York City in 2002 where she lived with a merry band of RISD misfits where she received her real art education. Always merging art, music, and fashion, Amy has always been searching how to merge the three for her. She has continued to make a variety of styles of art, always searching. Heath has worked in many prestigious framing galleries and is considered a “master picture framer." Amy moved to Saint Joseph, MO and opened a successful vintage store. Obsessed with color and color combinations, Amy has been trying to pair her painting life with vintage and her love for vintage textiles, all the while trying to keep the mysterious into her work.
Heath has exhibited in several solo shows. Most noteworthy, The Silver Spring, MD library, The Chelsea Gallery 2003, Goldfeder Kahan Galleries 2004, Hoboken Framing Gallery 2007 & 2009. Recent regional exhibitions include the International Trucking Gallery, and Pony Espresso Coffee. Heath's works are found in many private collections throughout the country. Notable collector, Morrissey, during their U.S. tour purchased a displayed piece directly from Liberty Hall, located in Lawrence, Ks.
