Biography
Carlos Páez Vilaró was a well-known abstract artist, painter, potter, sculptor, muralist, writer, composer, and constructor. He was influenced by the Afro-Uruguayan culture, and he produced bright, and bold-colored works. After his death at age 90, his son stated that he had never known a person who worked that much and told the press that his father worked until the last day of his life.
