Biography
Henry Munyaradzi is a Zimbabwean Shona sculptor born in 1931 in Guruve in Rhodesia (current Zimbabwe) and died on July 27, 1998.
After a life as an agricultural worker, he joined the artistic community of Tengenenge in 1967 and remained there until 1975. From that time on, he was introduced to the work of serpentine, establishing himself as a master of direct carving and one of the most famous Shona carvers of his generation. He had already exhibited all over the world during his participation in Les Magiciens de la terre.
