Description
This striking work juxtaposes a raging sea of swirling waves with artistic and natural elements. Dominated by hues of brown and gray, it evokes a dreamlike world where a stylized tail emerges from the waves, adorned with delicate patterns. The waves, in dynamic spirals, create an incessant and hypnotizing movement, paying homage to the power and beauty of the ocean. In the background, an abstract and ethereal motif seems to float, suggesting an imaginative and poetic journey. The curved and fluid lines meet in a harmonious dance, a subtle blend of forms. This ensemble perfectly illustrates the duality of nature: strength and grace, chaos and tranquility. The wooden frame accentuates the organic character of this composition, transporting the viewer into a captivating and meditative visual exploration.
Presentation
I draw with graphite pencil and ink, watercolour, acrylic paint and oil paint. I like to mix techniques.
For this small-format exhibition, I have chosen to present different aspects of my drawing style and my watercolour practice.
I want you to discover my world, which is sometimes grey and sometimes colourful, often made up of swirls, and a reflection of my thoughts and my wandering mind.
I mainly use 300g/m2 watercolour paper with a fine grain and pure cotton, except for the works entitled Estampe 1 and Éclosion. These were produced on a lighter technical paper.
I invite you to open your mind and your imagination, to discover shapes and colours that I hope will resonate with you.
