Description
This watercolor is an ode to winter freedom and dynamics. Against the background of majestic, snow-covered mountains painted in cold blue and violet tones, two skiers rapidly descend a boundless slope. Their figures, especially the one on the left in bright red, create a strong contrast with the white snow. Long, expressive shadows emphasize the bright sun and the speed of movement.
I created this work to capture the feeling of flight and adrenaline while skiing, when you are alone with the immense mountains. It is an attempt to convey that special silence felt only at high altitudes, interrupted solely by the crunch of snow beneath the skis and the whistle of the wind in your ears. This is a moment of unity with nature and your own courage.

Olena KLYMENKO is a Ukrainian painter, born in kyiv in 1969 - After graduating from high school, Olena KLYMENKO entered the Kiev Institute of Light Industry to specialize in fashion design, but she did not never practiced in this profession - She started painting in 2015 - In her work, she uses various materials as unexpected as newspapers or even packaging boxes - She creates her works using oil or acrylic paint , but also watercolor, pencils or any other artistic material. She has her own unique style and establishes herself through the painting of still lifes on newspaper - The artist often participates in art exhibitions - In 2024, we can cite a personal exhibition: Beyond the canvas, innovative fusion", and a collective exhibition "Artistic horizons: a panorama of Ukrainian talent".
