Call of the Horizon | Turquoise Waves and Colorful Abstract Seascape, 2026

Anastasiia Utliakova

A turquoise sea stretches toward a glowing horizon, where golden sunlight, coral pink, and soft lavender blend into an expressive sky. In the foreground, energetic waves roll toward a richly colored shoreline, their white crests catching the light. The scene captures the irresistible feeling of looking into the distance and imagining everything that lies beyond.

Created with acrylic and oil pastel on paper, this original contemporary artwork explores the desire to move forward, embrace change, and discover new possibilities. The sea becomes a reflection of an inner journey—a place where familiar boundaries dissolve and the unknown begins to feel inviting.

Broad, sweeping brushstrokes and layered textures bring movement to every part of the composition. Deep teal and turquoise currents contrast with vibrant burnt orange, magenta, violet, and golden yellow. Scratched lines and spontaneous marks add an expressive, almost windswept quality, while luminous reflections connect the restless water with the changing sky.

Balancing a recognizable coastal landscape with bold abstraction, the artwork conveys both the energy of the elements and the excitement of new beginnings. It is an engaging choice for collectors who love expressive seascapes, adventurous color combinations, and art that celebrates freedom and transformation.
