Description
Watercolor and graphite on paper. The vagaries of pictorial fluids are the starting point of this graphic work. Faces of strangers taken from magazines as well as characters of intimate acquaintances present themselves here, as distant memories or as sensitive appearances.
Presentation
Born in 1986, Agathe Diehl Wagner is a young visual artist and professor. Her works consist mainly of drawings and paintings.
While working on the subject of memories, intimate as well as collective, Agathe Wagner performs an archival work while going through her personal albums, newspapers and even articles of historical studies. Amongst the overwhelming number of overflowing images, she grabs certain pictures as to reinvent their existence.
