Description
The City of Dreams 6 is a semi-abstract composition - painted with a knife on 3 mm canvas cardboard glued to a 2 to 3 mm rigid cardboard support - with light impasto and covered with a semi-gloss varnish. In line with the "Vagabondages" series we find the little character in black and white, both attentive and mysterious, lookout or simple observer of a world of fantastic colors. All of the artist's poetry, his taste for daydreaming and imagination, is fully expressed in this warm-toned work.
Presentation
The artist has always lived at the edge of the water, on the Atlantic coast, as close as possible to these seascapes that he loves passionately and of which he strives, canvas after canvas, as a sensitive and privileged witness, to restore light, poetry and serenity.
Colorist, he works his semi-abstract seascapes with oil, brush and knife, playing on the contrast between the motif worked in full paste and the soft background, thus offering each of his works a very dynamic contemporary.
Favoring the impression, the atmosphere and the atmosphere, it gives free rein to the imagination of those who contemplate them.
His paintings are an ode to travel, dreams and escape.
