At the heart of the composition lies the interplay between light and shadow. The snow, rendered in a delicate palette of whites, icy blues, and cool lavenders, appears almost luminous under the winter sky. The surface of the snow is not flat or sterile—instead, it ripples with movement and depth. Subtle ridges and mounds capture the undulating shape of the land beneath, suggesting drifts shaped by wind or the memory of footsteps long since erased. A small, winding stream cuts through the snowy ground in the foreground. Its surface is a deep, almost metallic gray-blue, contrasting sharply with the brilliance of the snow. Zhitomir artist Suprunchuk Yuri Sergeevich Born on April 11, 1961, in the city of Zhitomir. Graduated from the Zheleznogorsk Art School, Russia (1982). Teachers in the specialty: V. Chukuev, E. Nikulin. Painter. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2002). Major works: "Near the house" (2005), "Winter on the outskirts of Zhitomir" (2006), "Autumn still life" (2004). Lived and worked in the city of Zhitomir.
