Description
Every time I work I hope the colors are alive and I try to let the colors erode the entire image. But there is another force that fights against erosion: the confrontation and contradiction between this color and black, white and gray scared me.
Presentation
Yichao Sun is a contemporary Chinese painter born in 1983 in Shenyang, China. A graduate of the Fine Arts School of Shenyang University, he honed his artistic practice during a residency at the École d'art contemporain de Besançon, France. Sun explores themes such as abstraction, graphic art and oriental aesthetics, using a variety of techniques, including painting and printmaking. His dynamic and expressive compositions reflect a constant research into perception and emotion.
