Trained at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg, Martine Elhaik is now established as a professional artist in Franche Comté.
Her artistic approach is based on a search for adequacy between materials and colors to achieve through their connection by shapes and volumes, a pictorial harmony that she strives to bring out from her paintings.
His lacquers explore an intimate universe populated by memories, a dreamlike and theatrical space with chimerical perspectives. Product of a mixed technique combining an oil background on a wooden support covered with medium, a patient arrangement of collages of images punctuated with gold leaf, a lacquer that melts this set... and the trompe-l' eye comes to life.
His work on the landscape is an invitation to the imagination that the gaze, once captured, extends beyond simple visual contemplation.
