Description
Acrylic Gertrude Stein is an important work by Picasso and one of the unmissable female figures in 20th century art. It was a sponsor and a burgher of modernist artists of the time, and his collection could not only change an era, but also unearth many artists who changed an era. However, in the current materialistic age, where everything is controlled by capital and the original purpose of artwork is gradually alienated. The true meaning and value of this work has been overshadowed by commercialization and marketization. In this work, you can see that the artist tries to express and reconstruct the painting "Stein" in an abstract way. It represents the culture of the present society and the perspective of how the viewer perceives Gertrude Stein. The viewer can recognize her as Stein and at the same time consider her as a symbol of a vanished era.
