Description
Dive into the captivating realm of 'Tip of the Iceberg,' an exquisite abstract realism masterpiece by Ukrainian artist Zakhar Shevchuk. This mesmerizing artwork beckons with a harmonious interplay of colors and forms. Against an intense dark blue night sky, bold brushstrokes create wavelike lines, forming a sharply defined triangle resembling a mountain. The central white element is layered with shades of blue and grey, mirroring the serene water below.
Zakhar's distinctive artistic style merges abstract and figurative worlds, coaxing viewers to traverse the boundary between perception and imagination. His deliberate brushwork yields a textured surface, adding depth and dimension.
The composition exudes both calm and power, inviting contemplation and connection.
Through 'Tip of the Iceberg,' Zakhar Shevchuk delivers a message that extends beyond the canvas. Amidst its captivating beauty lies a cautionary tale – a hidden peril beneath an enchanting facade. The viewer is prompted to ponder the duality of appearances and the potential dangers of diving into the unknown.
Zakhar's journey as an artist began in Ukraine, where he refined his craft at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. His artistic evolution led him from academic realism to a fusion of abstraction and figuration. This approach challenges the observer, tantalizing with moments of recognition and inviting the perpetual search for meaning.
As a master in the art of evocation, Zakhar Shevchuk invites you to traverse his artistry, to explore the mysterious threshold where abstraction and reality converge. 'Tip of the Iceberg' serves as an invitation to embark on a visual and emotional journey, to ponder the hidden depths that lie beneath the surface.

Presentation
“I try to simplify the form to the point when it feels that nothing else shall be removed and only the essential elements remain. I transfer my impressions and self-reflections about objects into my paintings. I express what I feel rather than how I see, often arriving somewhere between figurative and abstract art." Zakhar Shevchuk
Zakhar Shevchuk is a young professional painter and draftsman, he holds a master in arts degree from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Kyiv, Ukraine) and now himself teaches at the academy. His artworks are held in public and private collections worldwide, furthermore, he often participates in various public projects, such as painting murals and other monumental installations.
With years Zakhar's artistic style moved away from academic realism (which always tended closer to expressionism) and towards the style that in somewhere on the edge between figurative art and abstraction. In many of his works, even those that may seem as fully abstract ones, you will find some elements that were intentionally added, aiming to trick your brain into believing that you have finally found something recognisable, something that matches the reality, but then you suddenly loose it, starting the search over and over again.
