Description
First experience for me of an oil painting on a copper plate!
I bought a copper plate intended for engraving. I then coated it with a primer so that the paint "clings".
It was a strange experience because the copper support is not at all intended for painting: I understood that I had to work thickly, by applying nice bold touches, because copper does not absorb paint like a linen cloth: it just slides over him without penetrating him.
But I am very happy with the result!
This work, which is part of the “Désir” series, represents a new “close-up kiss”.
I worked in a reduced palette with bright colors: purples, oranges and greens. I wanted a “dynamic” atmosphere because love gives energy!
