Description

The artwork depicted here is a striking and melancholic depiction of a church at dusk. With a technique that blends realism and abstraction, the artist captures the essence of a scene that is both familiar and mysterious. At first glance, attention is captured by the church steeple, which stands proudly against a turbulent and shadowy sky. The sharp, angular features of the steeple contrast sharply with the blurred, intertwined lines of the bare tree branches that dot the painting. This effect creates visual tension, drawing and holding the viewer's gaze. The colors used are deeply expressive. Dark notes of brown and black dominate the architecture, accentuating its imposing and almost austere character. In contrast, a subtle burst of yellow light emerges behind the trees, suggesting a distant and diffused light source, creating an enigmatic and dreamy atmosphere. The choice of textures adds even more depth and dynamism to the work. The brushstrokes are visible and expressive, emphasizing the raw emotion and liveliness of the landscape. The trees, with their twisted lines and intense shadows, seem almost in motion, creating a sense of life and constant change. The composition, both simple and complex, is masterfully executed. The church, placed off-center, gives a sense of depth and intrigue, encouraging the viewer to explore every corner of the painting. This work is an invitation to contemplate the mystery and beauty in the moments of transition between day and night. Overall, this painting is an exceptional achievement, subtly blending light and shadow, realism and abstraction, to capture a scene steeped in mystery and majesty. It is a piece that is sure to provoke thought and emotion in the viewer.

I was born in Paris in 1976 and I started painting in 2011.
I participated for the first time in a fair in December 2014 (national fair of fine arts in Paris at the Carrousel du Louvre with my painting Fils de Rose"), and I thank this person again for allowing me to access this valuation.

Alongside Art, I trained in decorative painting to assert my brushstrokes in 2015, at the Versailles Mural Art School.

The artists and intellectuals who are my sources: Bernard Buffet, Jean Dufy, Nicolas De Staël, William Mac Kendree, Amedeo Modigliani, Michel de Gallard, Michel Lesry, René Magritte, Marcel Gromaire, Sophie Sirot, Theodore Monot, Romain Gary, and Pierre Gilles de Gennes.

To close this humble biography, I would like to share with you these few sonnets by a great painter (Eugène Boudin) and taken up by a person whose influence was more than important in my eyes:
"Let's have fun. on the earth and on the waveUnfortunate man, who makes a name for himself! Wealth, honors, false splendor of this world, Everything is just soap bubbles."
