Description
This artwork presents an intriguing horizontal band that dominates the canvas, reflecting a fusion of natural and abstract elements. The central strip features dynamic layers of turquoise and earthy browns, reminiscent of a rugged geologic formation or a tumultuous seascape. Rich textures are achieved using thick impasto techniques, lending a tactile quality that enhances its visual depth. Interspersed gold accents catch the eye, evoking a sense of light dancing upon water or mineral veins within rock. The muted background contrasts subtly with the vibrant colors, emphasizing the central motif and adding an ethereal quality.
The composition masterfully balances movement and stillness, inviting contemplation and evoking a sense of the earth's raw beauty and mystery. This piece stands out for its bold use of color and texture, making it both a visual and emotional experience.
Presentation
Born in Ostrava, I grew up in Hlučín, Czechia. For the first 20 years I lived in North Moravia, then in Michalovce, Slovakia, and since 2005 I have lived alternately in Bratislava and Austria.
I have always been involved in painting, but only really intensively in the last 10 years, when I moved from realistic to abstract painting. Abstraction offers me unimaginable possibilities of freedom.
Through painting I can express the energy of thoughts, feelings, and then the image sends it into space. My works are the essence of what I do. I often have a thought in me that will create the name of the painting, but I don't think deeply about how to make the painting. But I know why I'm doing it, I know who I'm doing it for, even if that person is unknown.
I have a strong urge to paint, and if I don't notice the time while working, I always put the energy that the painting needs into the painting. I still have other paintings in progress and sometimes I wake up at night and something makes me get up and in the morning I finish a painting that was waiting unfinished before. These are the works that I say they painted themselves.
I am satisfied with my life, I am grateful for everything I have experienced. I enjoy life in paintings, I paint for people and I wish everyone could bring the energy they need into their space and enjoy painting.
