Description
This captivating work features a striking fusion of geometric shapes and vibrant colours, evoking an abstract coastal scene. On the left, a large yellow circle dominates the painting, evoking a bright sun illuminating the landscape. Touches of green are skillfully blended into this luminous disc, contrasting perfectly with the deep blue of the sky that occupies the rest of the upper section. On the bottom left, a complex composition of polygonal shapes recalls a rocky beach, with shades of red, orange and pink bringing an earthy warmth to the whole. The discreet presence of a red silhouette on the rocks subtly draws attention, adding a human and contemplative dimension to the scene. The body of water in the centre reflects the colours of the sky and the geometric figures, reinforcing the visual harmony of the work. On the right, a series of interlocking lines and circles in hues of blue and green give a sense of depth and movement, as if the viewer is invited to dive into the infinity of the seascape. Presentation
Zib (Isabelle Guillet) is a French artist.
Since she was a child, she has always been attracted to art, music and painting. Although her brushes were never far away, she first started by orchestral music and street performance.
After several painting workshops, she joined the Martenot school for 7 years as well as a one-year training course with a professional painter. She also did the Beaux-Arts training, all to tackle other techniques such as mixed techniques and acrylic painting.
Her multicolored paintings are what she is: a mixture of Brittany, cradle of her childhood, French Riviera, the lights of Provence, embellished with a hint of Africa where she lived for 7 years.
