Description
This portrait depicts a nude female body.
It conveys the blend of strength and fragility that is characteristic of the artist’s entire body of work. The painting was created on a brown background (thick paper), which accentuates the contrast. The artist has allowed herself just one bold color: fluorescent pink, which brings a lot of light to the piece.
In this way, the artist Nathalie Cubéro captures the very essence of the body.
The lines are refined. There is a mix of techniques including watercolor, ink, and paint.

Nathalie Cubéro's work is structured around several techniques that could almost be described as opposites: the artist is adept at spontaneous brushstrokes in acrylic, but also at more academic techniques such as gilding. The precious side of gold gives her works an almost mystical, even iconic, appearance.
Nathalie Cubéro's work is intended to be above all human, instinctive and emotional. The strong contrasts that emerge from it seek to suggest a certain power, that of the emotions of the living. Color is the vector of all these emotional states that the artist stages.
