This artwork is a vibrant diptych, captivating in its abstract expressionism. The left panel showcases an explosion of warm hues—vivid reds, soft pinks, and bold yellows—contrasting beautifully with earthy greens and subtle peaches. These colors appear to dance across a light background, creating a sense of dynamic movement and energy. The right panel, by contrast, leans into cooler tones, featuring rich blues and deep blacks that seem to swirl with hints of beige and white. Textural complexities arise from the layering of paint, forming an engaging tactile surface that invites the viewer's gaze. The juxtaposition of fiery warmth and serene coolness across the two panels enhances the artwork's emotional depth, making it not just a feast for the eyes but a profound exploration of color and form. This piece masterfully balances harmony and contrast, offering a unique visual dialogue.

Liquid Life N3 and N5, Diptych, 2024 by Rosario Briones
From the series “Liquid Life"
Mixed technique (inks and acrylic paint) on 118gr Ahlstrom absorbent paper.
Individual size: 105 Height x 98.5 Width cm.
Without frame.
Signed by the artist on the back.
For this wet and random technique, the artist used absorbent paper as a support. The paper is cut irregularly on its edges and has minimal holes and wrinkles that reinforce the idea of organicity, register and line.
There is something hypnotic about the use of water. The artist tries to understand his invasive and expansive way, his little capacity for control, limits and edges.
The artist dyes the water with the dyes and drags the color as far from the paper as she can. The stain on the paper is constructed by the accident between water and color, a chance encounter that the artist only guides, accommodates and shapes.
The water capriciously does the rest.
In his work, the path of his body becomes shapes, and the shapes, an indication of the artistic process, directed by the emotion of his body. The paper collects that imprint of that moment, an echo of impermanence. The transience of everything is revealed in the artwork, a reminder that nothing remains. And yet, in that moment anything is possible. Water, color and your body come together in a creative dance that transcends time.
