Description
This artwork is an ink and acrylic painting on paper. It is a masterpiece of abstract botanical expression. Using a vibrant palette of yellows, blues, and pinks, the artist creates an imaginary bouquet where each flower seems to dance on the canvas. The fluid shapes of the petals blend harmoniously, suggesting an almost supernatural floral luxuriance. The foliage, painted with free and dynamic strokes, adds an invigorating depth to the composition. In the center, an abstract basin, with intriguing patterns, anchors the composition while providing an enigmatic charm. The spontaneous and translucent brushstrokes demonstrate technical mastery and overflowing imagination. This piece invites the viewer on a sensory journey, celebrating the beauty and diversity of nature in a captivating chromatic dance.
Presentation
Isabelle Marie is a painter and textile designer. She holds a degree in arts from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.
"My recent paintings are made on paper with mixtures of colored inks, watercolors and acrylics. The painted scenes are dreamlike, visionary and poetic. They constitute preparatory studies for larger format works.
My artistic creation explores the world of the living, borrowing the language of dreams. My paintings evoke images of nature and its multiple contrasts, on the border between the imaginary and the real, the visible and the invisible.
Plants, animals, the sun behind the clouds or reflections on the water constitute the motifs of the landscape which is built around an apparent perspective. The use of strong and acidulous colors allows to transmit the joy and the vivacity of the energy which surrounds and animates all things."
