Description
SERB 1133
The painting titled "Bush of Tea Trojan" depicts a cozy and picturesque scene of a small house adorned with a vibrant flowering bush in the front yard. The artist captures the charm and simplicity of suburban or rural life, emphasizing the beauty found in everyday surroundings. The focus on the flowering bush, known as the "Tea Trojan," adds a splash of color and life to the otherwise muted tones of the buildings and sky, creating a harmonious balance between nature and human habitation. The house itself is a modest structure with a slanted roof, painted in shades of gray and purple. The textured brushstrokes give the impression of aged walls and weathered materials, hinting at the passage of time and the house's enduring presence. The roof, painted in a muted lavender shade, contrasts softly with the sky, adding a whimsical and artistic touch to the overall composition. The adjoining garage, with its red-brown doors, suggests a practical and lived-in space, contributing to the painting's sense of realism and familiarity. The central feature of the painting is the Tea Trojan bush, in full bloom with bright pink and red flowers.
The bush stands out vividly against the neutral tones of the house, drawing the viewer's eye to the natural beauty that flourishes in this domestic setting. The flowers symbolize vitality, joy, and the nurturing relationship between humans and nature. The bush appears well-cared-for, suggesting that the homeowners take pride in their surroundings and find joy in cultivating beauty. The foreground features a neatly kept pathway and patches of green grass, further emphasizing the painting's theme of harmonious living with nature. The background includes a few taller trees and hints of a neighboring building, suggesting that this scene is part of a larger community. The sky is painted in soft blues and whites, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere.
Through "Bush of Tea Trojan," the artist conveys a message about finding beauty in the everyday and appreciating the small, simple pleasures of life. The flowering bush, with its vibrant blooms, serves as a reminder that nature's beauty can thrive in any setting, even in the midst of urban or suburban environments. The painting invites viewers to slow down and notice the charm and serenity of their surroundings, encouraging mindfulness and gratitude for life's little joys. The artist's use of light, color, and texture creates a sense of warmth and nostalgia, evoking feelings of comfort and belonging. The painting speaks to the importance of home, community, and the natural world, reminding viewers that beauty and peace can be found in the simplest of places. In conclusion, "Bush of Tea Trojan" is a celebration of nature's resilience and the quiet charm of everyday life. The painting captures a moment of tranquility and invites viewers to reflect on the beauty that surrounds them, encouraging a deeper connection with both their environment and their sense of home.

Worked as a drawing and drafting teacher, painting and wood carving instructor, artist-designer.

Since 2000 - Independent artist.

Works by Boris Serdyuk are held in museums in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, European countries, the USA, Israel, and other countries.
In 2018, the artist entered the global art space of the creative platform in New York, where seven of his works were included in the catalog "Painting & Graphics."
Currently lives and works in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region.
Took his first steps in the world of visual arts within the walls of his local school, then studied at Yuriev-Polsky Pedagogical School. After graduation, he returned to his homeland and started working as a drawing and painting teacher.
Later, he realized that for an artist, creative freedom is essential. Thus, after seventeen years of teaching, he left the profession to focus on his creative work. The artist is content to have the opportunity to engage in his beloved craft, which he considers the meaning of his life.
His journey had its ups and downs, victories in competitions, and recognition from admirers, yet he never ceased his determined quest for his artistic path. In ancient times, "serdyuk" referred to professional infantrymen in the Cossack ranks. This heritage likely passed down not only the surname but also many Cossack traits to the artist, including hard work, modesty, and human dignity.
Boris Serdyuk creates in genres such as portrait, landscape, and thematic composition. His works are varied, reflecting the artist's impressions of the places he visited. Among them are picturesque corners of Kremenchuk and Dnipro views, urban and maritime landscapes, the grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains, and cozy Ukrainian villages. His canvases are intriguing in terms of color and relatively compositionally perfect, revealing the life of nature at the time of their execution.
There are also commissioned portraits and paintings, such as "Shevchenko in Baturyn." He spent over a year working on it, studying the architecture of the former hetman capital. However, the artist prefers to work swiftly, capturing the vision of a painting before it fades from his mind and before the sun changes its angle and shadows. On average, according to the artist, he spends about 40 minutes on a single landscape.
Boris successfully combines a poetic perception of the world and a deep understanding of nature with brilliant artistic execution. His paintings exude a special light and a delicate sense of nature – vivid colors on the canvas resonate with intermediate tones. The artist has abandoned contours, replacing them with separate and contrasting brushstrokes; his paintings amaze with colors, not only their diversity but also the amount of substance applied to the canvas – vibrant, vivid, voluminous.
Describing the master's works is a challenging task. Boris Serdyuk's works are special – they are painted with soul. One must see and feel the wonderful harmony of nature on the artist's canvases firsthand and touch the great mystery of Art.
