Description
Duality, fusion, double reading. This bold work skillfully blends abstraction and figuration. Dominated by warm hues of red and orange, it presents a stylized character, marked by dynamic black lines that cut the canvas. The striking contrast between dark and light areas accentuates the expressive intensity of the face. The curved shapes and sharp angles combine to create a sense of movement and tension. The character's enigmatic gaze attracts and captures attention, evoking complex emotions. The almost cubist style adds a dimension of depth and mystery, inviting the viewer to freely interpret the work. This piece is distinguished by its bold use of color and form, demonstrating a refined mastery that is both modern and timeless.
Presentation
Sabine Louriac is a French artist born on November 12, 1954 in Castres in the Tarn.
At the age of 10, she started practicing drawing and later on became passionate about painting. She got a training in painting at first autodidactically before working in the workshop of Brienne with Jean Louis Engels until 1994. She then enrolled in open courses at the School of Fine Arts of Toulouse with Rémi Peyranne.
A versitile artist he draws his inspiration from raw art to cubism; from Matisse to Modigliani, from Picasso to Chagall, Sabine Louriac's paintings depict mostly female personages, strange and almost anthropomorphism with a colorful and bright color pallette.
