Description
This artwork presents a bold and expressive portrait, typical of the Cubist style. Dominated by vibrant shades of blue, purple, and red, the composition uses geometric shapes to deconstruct and reconstruct the figure's face. The particularly large and captivating eyes immediately draw the viewer's attention, creating a striking contrast with the rest of the face. The blending of colors emphasizes the contours and adds depth to the image. The raised hand at the side of the face adds a contemplative and introspective dimension to the painting. The visible brushstroke technique accentuates the energy and dynamism of the work. This portrait embodies a unique fusion of modernity and tradition, capturing the emotional essence and complexity of the human condition through a decidedly contemporary and original aesthetic.
Presentation
At the age of 10, she started practicing drawing and later on became passionate about painting. She got a training in painting at first autodidactically before working in the workshop of Brienne with Jean Louis Engels until 1994. She then enrolled in open courses at the School of Fine Arts of Toulouse with Rémi Peyranne.
A versitile artist he draws his inspiration from raw art to cubism; from Matisse to Modigliani, from Picasso to Chagall, Sabine Louriac's paintings depict mostly female personages, strange and almost anthropomorphism with a colorful and bright color pallette.
