Description
This work depicts an intimate, tranquil scene seen through an open window, adding a dimension of artistic voyeurism. A red-haired woman in a bright green shirt stands pouring red wine into a glass with studied grace. The table is summarily laid, with plates and cutlery ready for a meal, suggesting the expectation of shared company. The wall is painted in soothing pastel shades, reinforcing the warm atmosphere of the interior. A round hanging mirror reflects a partial view, adding depth and complexity to the composition. The windows framing the scene seem to invite the viewer to immerse themselves in this beautiful and tranquil everyday life. Presentation
The Spanish artist, Alejandra Caballero did her training at the Fine arts University of Madrid and got a Rodriguez-Acosta Foundation grant in Granada in the field of painting, as well as the Lopez Villasenor grant in the same specialty.
Alejandra Caballero's paintings are intimate, figurative, poetic and introspective. Her most recurring theme is the female figure and her daily environment. (As a common habit, she models for herself). The sea and childhood are her favorite subjects. She eliminates superfluous and anecdotal aspect and focuses on reality. She uses clear and bright colors although her works are sometimes filled with melancholy and loneliness.
