Description
This work depicts a striking night scene in front of a pastel-coloured bar, emanating a nostalgic atmosphere. A central element is a blue motorbike, symbolising freedom and mystery, parked in the foreground. A woman stands at the entrance, dressed in a pink skirt and dark top, deep in silent reflection. The warm light of the bar contrasts with the coldness of the night, dominated by a discreet moon, accentuating the urban isolation of the deserted street to the right. The artist skilfully plays with light and shadow, creating a palpable tension between the inviting interior and the solitary exterior. The atmosphere, tinged with melancholy, evokes an unfinished narrative, captivating the viewer with its mystery. Through subtle details, the painting captures a moment suspended in time, inviting contemplation.
Presentation
The Spanish artist, Alejandra Caballero did her training at the Fine arts University of Madrid and got a Rodriguez-Acosta Foundation grant in Granada in the field of painting, as well as the Lopez Villasenor grant in the same specialty.
Alejandra Caballero's paintings are intimate, figurative, poetic and introspective. Her most recurring theme is the female figure and her daily environment. (As a common habit, she models for herself). The sea and childhood are her favorite subjects. She eliminates superfluous and anecdotal aspect and focuses on reality. She uses clear and bright colors although her works are sometimes filled with melancholy and loneliness.
