Description
This work is a mosaic of white gel ink tiles paying homage to the iconic figure of Yves Saint Laurent. At the center, the figure in blue is depicted in a contemplative pose, surrounded by decorative motifs reminiscent of Portuguese azulejos. The frame is adorned with red and yellow floral details adding dynamism and warmth to the composition. Two stylized silhouettes sit on either side, embodying style and creativity. The quote at the bottom, “My weapon is the way I look at my time," underscores profound artistic reflection. The combination of bold colors and traditional motifs creates a remarkable aesthetic fusion. This painting is a celebration of artistic expression, notable for its originality and visual richness. The contrast between modern and classical elements demonstrates technical mastery and a unique vision.
Presentation
OJA is a multidisciplinary artist with a professional background in publishing, advertising and communications.
A graphic designer for over 20 years, OJA decided to create her identity as a street artist after a trip to Lisbon where she discovered the art of azulejo ceramics.
His first collages were visible in the streets of Paris from 2020.
Passionate about pop culture and influenced by pop art, she incorporates strong symbols and messages into the ornamentation of her creations. She creates portraits of iconic figures, sometimes desecrated by society, sanctified in the form of ex-votos.
In 2022, she created and produced her first solo exhibition
“ART POP CELEBRATION,” to celebrate the transition from his work as a poster-collagist to that of a stencil artist.
