Description
This striking artwork combines Andy Warhol's iconic modernity with the vintage elegance of ceramic tiles. At the center is an image of Warhol holding a camera and an American football, highlighting his influence on art and pop culture. The richly detailed blue and white tile patterns frame the image, evoking a fusion of contemporary art and ancient traditions. The iconic text at the bottom, "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes," resonates as a critical reflection on fleeting fame. The dominant shades of blue and orange bring a captivating vitality and visual contrast, accentuating the subject's expressive face. This work embodies a conversation between the past and the present, challenging the viewer to reevaluate the value and longevity of fame in a media-saturated world.
Presentation
OJA is a multidisciplinary artist with a professional background in publishing, advertising and communications.
A graphic designer for over 20 years, OJA decided to create her identity as a street artist after a trip to Lisbon where she discovered the art of azulejo ceramics.
His first collages were visible in the streets of Paris from 2020.
Passionate about pop culture and influenced by pop art, she incorporates strong symbols and messages into the ornamentation of her creations. She creates portraits of iconic figures, sometimes desecrated by society, sanctified in the form of ex-votos.
In 2022, she created and produced her first solo exhibition
“ART POP CELEBRATION,” to celebrate the transition from his work as a poster-collagist to that of a stencil artist.
