Description
This abstract artwork is a visual explosion of dynamism and complexity. Bold colors of red, black, and gold blend with geometric and floral patterns, creating a harmonious symphony of contrasts. Diagonal lines and circular shapes add a sense of movement and depth, while subtle floral motifs introduce an organic dimension. Checkerboard elements and dots add a modern touch, contrasting with the more classic tones. This richly detailed composition encourages careful visual exploration, as each element seems to blend in and deviate from the others. The artist successfully captures the essence of organized chaos, compelling the viewer to discover a new facet with each glance. The painting's visual rhythm engages the imagination, ensuring a unique and intriguing immersive experience.
Presentation
Thierry Corpet - French artist born in 1965, lives and works in Corsica
At the crossroads of visual arts and music, Thierry Corpet draws inspiration from William Burroughs' "cut-up" technique to create hybrid works, where superimpositions and geometric forms translate the emotions arising from listening. Without claiming synesthesia, he seeks to capture the ephemeral and give tangible form to what is usually perceived by the ear.
Each canvas, each sculpture becomes his visual score — an invitation to see his perception of music, to feel the forms and to listen with the eyes.
His work is regularly exhibited in France and internationally. In particular, it was presented at the "Comparaisons 2026" exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, in the Geometric Abstraction group.
