Description
This artwork presents a mesmerizing blend of abstract textures and earthy tones, embodying the raw essence of Spain's rich landscapes. The piece skillfully utilizes a palette dominated by deep ochres and dark umbers, invoking a sense of the rugged terrain. The upper section features intricate, wave-like patterns in golden hues, resembling the undulating forms of sunlit hills or ancient, weathered walls. Beneath, a tapestry of dense, rust-colored strokes suggests the warmth of sunbaked earth. The layered application of paint generates a tactile, almost three-dimensional quality, inviting viewers to explore its depth. This artwork captures the essence of a land steeped in history and natural beauty, evoking both a sense of timelessness and dynamic movement. The juxtaposition of textures and colors creates a visual symphony that is both captivating and contemplative.
Presentation
Enric Correa is a self-taught artist whose work explores the relationship between color, matter, and emotional territory. His artistic language lies between atmospheric abstraction and a poetics of layers, where texture and light construct landscapes that evoke memory, geology, and transformation. Through constant research, he combines acrylics, enamels, sprays, and textural materials to create deep and vibrant surfaces that reinterpret Nature from an intimate and sensory perspective.
In recent years, he has expanded his practice to include expressive figuration—especially birds—which extends his abstract universe into new forms of energy and presence. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Barcelona, as well as national art fairs and competitions, and his work has been recognized by the Esart Gallery (Barcelona), the Accademia Internazionale Greci-Marino (Italy), and various international platforms. He has also been featured in specialized publications such as Revistart.
