Description
Abstraction is expressed here by a rigorous superposition of materials. The gaze sweeps across a surface rhythmized by horizontal lines. These streaks create a tactile relief on the cardboard support.
The palette favors earthy and organic tones. Shades of brown and ochre interweave in a dense composition. Glints of orange light pierce the darkness, evoking the end of a day.
The artist works acrylic paint in successive layers. This process suggests the erosion of time and mineral sedimentation. The depth arises from the contrast between the dark areas and the light areas.
The whole exudes a serene and contemplative atmosphere. The gesture is controlled, almost architectural. This work from 2006 is distinguished by its chromatic sobriety and geometric structure. It rests on a subtle balance between shadow and clarity.
