Whether it's in India or Brazil, Thomas Saliot embarked on a journey to discover other things or people and a clash of personalities, basically culture creates his paintings. The artist sums this up in his painting through sharing and discovering as a result of traveling. The Pop culture also had an influence on Thomas Saliot, it's a must especially when you're born in 1968. He finds great lightness in this movement which is in keeping with his creation and lifestyle. He paints using bright, solid colors, a smooth painting which portrays emotions in a more expressive manner. Thomas Saliot describes his universe in a publicized way, as the spectator becomes the cameraman or paparazzi. The subjects pose as true icons of the tabloid press and glamor covers the painting like varnish.
