Description
This artwork, created with an accumulation of approximately 150 layers of paint, immediately captures the attention with its bold approach to graffiti on a textured surface. The artist's name "VISON" is written in capital letters in a vibrant graffiti style, using a palette of blues and greens punctuated by circular patterns, evoking a dynamic, urban feel.
VISION has come to remove from the walls that he has been working on for decades, these successive accumulations of graffiti frescoes in order to offer the collector what could be likened to a book to which we do not have access.
The background is notable for its layered array of varied materials, adding a physical and tactile dimension that contrasts with the typical rigidity of street art. Flashes of bright pink and white starbursts add touches of whimsy. The diverse textures and layered colors suggest a ridge of time or experience, transforming this piece into a fusion of chaos and artistic mastery. It is a striking example of the intersection between urban art and contemporary mixed media.
Presentation
Vision was born in 1971 in Pantin and grew up in Montreuil in the Paris suburbs. In 1983, he was then 12 years old and like many teenagers his age, he did not escape the surge of hiphop which invaded France. After tagging for a few months without really understanding the meaning, he made his first graffiti in 1986 and founded the group "Purple Kidz" in reference to a famous song by Prince. In the 90s, he showed all the colors in Île-de-France with his group Outlaw Crew. Railways, trains, subway trains, vacant lots, nothing escapes them. Recognized artist of international graffiti, his name will mark the mind of a whole generation of writers as he painted and wrote it. Self-taught, he has also turned to painting on canvas since 1990, with daily workshop work since 2001. He takes part in numerous festivals, solo and collective exhibitions in Paris, in the provinces and abroad. (TAG at the Grand Palais, Manish Arora haute couture fashion show, ParisToutPetit in partnership with Arcurial ...) Today recognized for his work on canvas and on walls, Vision is one of the most prolific writers. Few of his generation are still active as he is. In 2016, he celebrates his 30 years of graffiti and does not seem ready to stop.
